This is one of the manhwas I read weekly. I’ve often written that I really enjoy regression stories. Coincidentally, I started reading this one at the beginning of 2025. It turned out to be very entertaining for me.

Despite being seen as a worthless drunk and womanizer, he slowly starts changing that perception, step by step. It’s a kind of personal growth that impacts the McLain County.
One of the aspects I really like about this story is the protagonist’s sincerity; he has a solid purpose. You’re drawn to the fact that he genuinely wants to protect his family’s integrity and make the county prosper. In some scenes, Logan could be seen as mercantile and even enslaving, but in reality, he is fully aware of his duty.
His responsibility goes beyond just protecting his family; he must also protect the empire and prevent it from falling. His journey involves training, acquiring resources, and developing the McLain County.
One of the hardest things for us humans to understand is that we need the talents of others in order to grow. Logan understands that in order to save his family and the empire, he needs to bring the best people to the county. The finest talents must help build it.
In the universe of this story, there are several races; one of them is the dwarves, who are enslaved. One of the scenes I value the most from the manhwa is the message Logan sends by opposing slavery. Dwarves are talented beings capable of crafting any kind of weapon, and humans exploit that talent for their own gain. However, Logan offers a dwarf a fair deal—and freedom.
Not everything is perfect in this manhwa; there are scenes that end up being slow and a bit boring. The battles, in particular, lack depth in many aspects. Still, it’s worth noting how well each character is drawn. Overall, I think the world-building is well done.
The dialogues between chapters 50 and 60 felt heavy to me. At one point, the story really needed a hook—and it gets one later with the recovery of territories that had been stolen from McLain County.
The most remarkable part of the story turns out to be the comedy. It’s introduced in unexpected moments, making for genuinely enjoyable sequences. I think this comedic touch helps readers relax—and it’s necessary.
The manhwa is mainly of the action genre but also incorporates drama and adventure. As I mentioned earlier, it belongs to the regression genre; in Japan and South Korea, this is often referred to as isekai.
Finally, Regressor of the Fallen Family offers a smooth, engaging plot with minor flaws but remains highly entertaining. Its appeal lies in the diplomatic negotiations, manipulation, battles, and the protagonist’s unstoppable will to succeed.

En algunas escenas se puede considerar a Logan como una persona mercantilista y esclavizadora, pero en realidad es consciente de su deber.
El deber que posee va más allá de proteger a su familia; también debe velar por proteger al imperio. Debe evitar que este sea destruido. El proceso pasa por entrenar, adquirir recursos y desarrollar el condado McLain.
Una de las cosas que nos cuesta entender a los seres humanos es que necesitamos el talento de otras personas para poder crecer. Logan comprende que para salvar a su familia y al Imperio debe traer al condado a las mejores personas. Los mejores talentos deben ayudar a construirlo.
En el universo de esta historia hay varias razas; una de ellas son los enanos que son esclavizados. Una de las escenas que más valoro del manhwa es el mensaje que envía Logan y su oposición a la esclavitud. Los enanos son seres talentosos, capaces de hacer cualquier arma; los seres humanos utilizan esa habilidad para beneficio propio. Sin embargo, Logan ofrece a un enano un trato favorable y libertad.
No todo es perfecto en este manhwa; hay escenas que terminan siendo muy lentas y aburridas. En el caso de las batallas hay una carencia en muchos aspectos, pero no deja de ser notable cómo se han dibujado cada uno de los personajes. Principalmente, creo que la ambientación del universo es buena.
Los diálogos entre los capítulos 50 y 60 me parecieron pesados. En un punto, la historia necesitaba algo de enganche; eso es lo que ocurre después por la recuperación de los territorios arrebatados al condado McLain.
La parte más destacable de la historia resulta ser la comedia. Se introduce en partes inesperadas y se vuelven secuencias agradables. Creo que esa comedia hace que el lector del manhwa se relaje. Es necesario.
El manhwa principalmente es de género de acción, pero también introduce el drama y la aventura. Como comenté, es de género regresión; en Japón y Corea del Sur se conoce como isekai. Finalmente, Regressor of the Fallen Family posee una trama fluida con pequeños detalles, pero que es lo suficientemente entretenida. Lo atractivo es la manera de mediación diplomática, la manipulación, las batallas y el deseo imparable de triunfo.
