According to patriarchy, a woman's gender role is housekeeping, cooking, and taking care of the children; while a man's gender role is protection and providing.
Now imagine if a man get so rich that he can have pay for a washing machine, a dishwasher, maids, chefs, security detail. This is a man performing his gender role to the utmost, now when this happens you see how worthless a woman's gender has become?
She no longer has anything to perform apart from just laying about.
And sex isn't a gender role because it goes both ways, she can't provide sex to her man without her man providing sex to her, so they cancel each other out 😅.
What role, then, does a woman perform? That of a friend and close confidant? It's the same with sex, they cancel each other out, because she can't be his friend without him being her friend, that's how it works, both of them would be friends and confidants, and partners and what have you.
If you say feminine energy, that is good, but the man's masculine energy cancels that out too. So at the end of the day a woman's gender role...
Birthing of children is a very huge thing, but it is a natural role and not a patriarchal invention. And we're talking about patriarchy here.
Then again, a lot of men these days are not even interested in having children. So there's that. And if they wanted to, taking care of children is still something a man can outsource. Ever heard of nannies? 😅
Furthermore, if a woman has a lot of money, and can afford security detail, then a man's gender role of providing and protecting also becomes worthless. Except the woman is so greedy she still wants his money even though she has hers. LOL. And this is the case too many of the times.
But if she's just not greedy, that's how a man's role would become worthless.
At the end of the day, it seems patriarchal gender roles were only made to thrive with poverty and lack. Once both parties have a lot of money those roles can go out the window.
This tells you that relationships between men and women is really not about roles but about a human connection and the love for being around each other. If anyone really cares about the other performing their roles then they're clearly operating from a place of poverty and lack.
