I've just read an article claiming that #solana might be the most suitable Blockchain environment for building decentralized social media.

I won't go into details regarding the security of the chain, neither am I going to question the truthfulness of supposedly 1000 independent validators, but I am willing to make the case on why we should collaborate with them.

Building a bridge with Solana might come handy in years to come. We can leverage their popularity and liquidity, while they can leverage our knowledge and prior experience.

It's a win win for both of us.

Why Solana?

Well, not only did #sol surged like crazy in the last couple of months, but it's becoming increasingly popular amongst #nft and #gaming developers/community.

Fast, cheap and scalable.

Perhaps not as decentralized as we'd like to see, but definitely with a potential to disrupt Web 2.0.

We could ride the waves and enable smooth interoperability between them, thus enable users to see what suits them better. Going further, there shouldn't be any competition, it actually makes no sense.

Why?

Because people can use both platforms and create value for both of them at the same time. Did Facebook went down once Instagram, twitter, myspace, or any other app went live? Of course it didn't.

It would create a huge hype for #hive whilst our decentralization and autonomy would remain untamed.
