Buenas a todos los que forman parte de la Comunidad #moviesandtvshows. Para esta oportunidad me animé al fin a realizar un Review acerca de una de las últimas películas protagonizadas por Ben Affleck, la cual vi hace ya unos cuantos días atrás pero dejaba hacer este post para después.

Como ya saben, mis post para reviews suelen tener tres partes, la Sinopsis, los Personajes y mi Opinión General. Yo normalmente cuento de qué trata la película con mis propias palabras, pero en esta ocasión prefiero hacer una cita de la página SensaCine, ya que la descripción que hace de ésta es bastante acertada y buena sin necesidad de hacer spoilers.
Asi que, de acuerdo a la página antes mencionada, la sinopsis de esta película va de la siguiente manera:
Este thriller de ciencia ficción narra la historia de Daniel Rourke, un detective que busca a su pequeña hija desaparecida. Mientras investiga una serie de extraños robos a bancos, Rourke pondrá en duda cualquier cosa que ve o que siente. Contará con la ayuda de Diana Cruz, una psíquica que le hablará de un nuevo concepto: 'hypnotic', y cómo todo aquello que oye o ve parece perfectamente normal, sin serlo. Será entonces cuando el detective, sin diferenciar a ciencia cierta lo que es real o no, persiga y sea perseguido simultáneamente por un misterioso y esquivo individuo que parece tener la clave para encontrar a la niña desaparecida.

Esta película llamó mi atención al principio al ser protagonizada por Ben Affleck, ya que es uno de mis actores favoritos de Hollywood. Sin embargo, a medida que empecé a verla me di cuenta de que trabajaban a la par grandes actores como William Fichtner, Alice Braga y Jeff Fahey. Todos ellos quien a mi parecer hicieron un fabuloso trabajo en esta entrega. Así que en cuanto a actuación les doy a todos un 10/10.
Además pude notar un diamante en bruto con la actuación de Hala Finley, quien tengo entendido que ya ha hecho otras participaciones en diferentes entregas, tanto series como película. Por la edad que tiene y su corta experiencia en Hollywood, esta niña tiene un largo camino que recorrer lleno de mucho éxito. Espero seguirla viendo más adelante en otra entrega cinematográfica, ya que su actuación me gustó mucho.

Bien, llegamos a la parte que más me gusta del post jejeje, y es mi opinión sobre dicho film. Al principio me llamó la atención la trama, ya que me encantan los temas de policías y detectives que tratan de resolver un misterioso asesinato o encontrar a alguien desaparecido.
Sin embargo, a medida que avanza la historia, la trama cambia y toma un giro de ciencia ficción (en cuya descripción hacen referencia, pero yo lo habia olvidado por completo). Así que este giro me sorprendió bastante.
Para mí los temas de ciencia ficción que más me agradan son los que tienen que ver con marcianos, cuestiones del espacio o algun universo futurista el cual desarrolle una excelente historia. Por lo que soy bastante quisquillosa en este tema.
Ahora bien, el giro que tomó esta historia está relacionado con el poder de la mente. Me recordó mucho a la película de El Origen, protagonizada por Leonardo DiCaprio, la cual en aquél entonces se me hizo bastante fastidiosa al entender de qué trataba, pero en el caso de Hypnotic no fue así, es por eso que le doy una puntuación de 7/10.
Resulta entretenida, la historia y la trama son bien llevadas, y el plus de la película son las actuaciones de los personajes. Así que si te gustan este tipo de historias, esta pelicula es para ti. O si prefieres ver algo diferente y entretenido a la vez, pues también la recomiendo. Yo me la disfruté y es una de esas películas que volvería a ver de nuevo.

This movie caught my attention at first as it starred Ben Affleck, as he is one of my favorite Hollywood actors. However, as I started watching it I realized that great actors like William Fichtner, Alice Braga and Jeff Fahey were working alongside. All of them in my opinion did a fabulous job in this installment. So in terms of acting, I give them all a 10/10.
I also noticed a diamond in the rough with the performance of Hala Finley, who I understand has already made other appearances in different series and movies. For the age she is and her short Hollywood experience, this girl has a long way to go with a lot of success. I hope to continue seeing her in another movie, as I liked her performance.

Well, we come to the part that I like the most about the post hehe, and that is my opinion about this film. At first, the plot caught my attention, as I love the themes of cops and detectives trying to solve a mysterious murder or find someone missing.
However, as the story progresses, the plot changes and takes a sci-fi twist (which is referenced in the description, but I had completely forgotten about it). So this twist came as quite a surprise to me.
For me, the science fiction themes I like the most are the ones that have to do with Martians, space issues, or some futuristic universe that develops an excellent story. So I'm pretty picky on this subject.
Now, the twist this story took is related to the power of the mind. It reminded me a lot of the movie Inception, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, which at that time was quite annoying to understand what was about, but in the case of Hypnotic it wasn't, that's why I give it a score of 7/10.
It is entertaining, the story and plot are well handled, and the plus of the movie is the performances of the characters. So if you like this kind of story, this movie is for you. Or if you prefer to see something different and entertaining at the same time, I also recommend it. I enjoyed it and it is one of those movies that I would watch again.
