...as today we have a public holiday called Family Day.

But let me show you some blue colors with a twist.

Peace and blessings to everyone, and we hope that it is also a public holiday wherever you are in the world. The days pass by so much faster these days, and before we know it, Christmas will be on our doorstep again. In the meantime, we have to cope with some tough times, as our country was blessed with 30% tariff increases from our friend in the USA. Thankfully he has delayed the tariffs, but a 10% tariff now remains active, and it is already creating havoc here, as many good causes are starting to close down. Be that as it may, as usual we just have to cope, and thankfully at Papillon, we have endured many tough times.

I think that the squadron of birds below are called homing pigeons. We have many pigeon bird clubs in the country, and competitions take place regularly. Some competitions are held for the homing pigeons and others for the racing pigeons. The homing pigeons are taken to a far-off place up north and then set free to fly back home. Pigeons are excellent navigators and the first pigeons that arrive back home wins the prize. A similar system takes place for the racing pigeons, and the first bird back home wins the prize. Or something like that.

The 5 Egyptian geese were leading a larger flock that you will see below.

First the line of geese above and then this crowd of geese much higher up in the sky.

I zoomed the 4 birds that you can see in the picture above, as they seemed to fly in a V formation.

And that is it! The blue colors mentioned are a bit of a misnomer, as what would the colors mean if there was no life in it? And what for Pete's sake does the color and the contents have to do with a public holiday?
Allow me to explain my thoughts. The name Blue Monday was invented to indicate that Mondays are always troublesome. Feeling blue for instance indicates bad moods. But the color blue also has a meaning that it is a peaceful color. I chose the latter to pair it with Monday as a public holiday, as everyone is peaceful on a public holiday. No rushing around to get the kids at school, or to get to work, and just a peaceful long weekend.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
