...and I mean really, as I was convinced that it would rain.
It was one of those mixed-up days in the Cape with its strong winds.
Now if you look at the first four photos, you will be just as convinced as us that it would rain. I wonder how many people cancelled their outdoor activities in the afternoon, also convinced that it would rain. One of my wife's family is a cricket game coach, and he cancelled the afternoon's coaching clinic. I had a look at the weather predictions, and I thought that it was wrong again, as no rain was mentioned. They had it right, and I had it wrong. Lol
Has this ever happened to you?
That dark grey wind-swept cloud was rising from the left, and pushing the lighter clouds towards the right of the picture below.
Come on, this just had to be rain soon.
Things took on a darker hue, and the plane had its lights on.
.
But look what happened a few hours later.
Oh yes, I could hear the laughter of the clouds, as no rain at sunset.
Salient the cloud cruised by, ever so innocent.
Oh yes, the laugh was on us, and I was really fooled.
Funny how one's expectations can be totally off the mark, and every time that something like this takes place, then I realize how wrong we as human sapiens can be. For instance, a person applies for a job, and after the interview is told that he stands the best chance to get the job with a big salary. He is told that the employer will contact him. So, he becomes jubilant and tells all of his friends that he will soon be employed.
Then something strange happens, as there is no call from the employer.
In the meantime, the employer's wife has a cousin, and she gets her husband to employ her cousin in the position. Imagine how the guy felt, as his expectations were shattered.
The lesson here is that one should never bank on one's expectations, as it is said that you can make your plans, and then life happens.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
