Hello friends @needleworkmonday,
It was an hectic weekend, though i am hoping for a positive new week .
My daughter's school held a party for my kids
They had to pick their colours and my daughter picked a yellow colour

Hence i decided to sew a yellow colour dress for her

I needed a style that will fit the occasion and a style which will look good on her
So i decided to sew a skirt and top for her

Here are the materials i used
Yellow colour Bridal satin
Scissors
Yellow colour Net
Measuring tape
Yellow colour Lining
Beads
Silver elastic

Here are the steps i took, the first thing i did was to cut out the blouse
I didn't cut a separate hand for it
I cut the fabric with shoulder .
I cut a V shape design and i sewed through.
I used yellow colour beads and design the neck region.

The next step was for the skirt
I took my bridals satin and i had to cut out the fabric and joined it through to get a longer shape.
At the end i made gathers with it.

For the next step i got my hard net and i pleated it on the the bridal satin while sewing

Then i got my yellow lining and sewed on it still using the gathers process

Then for the final steps i got the net and sewed it on the gathers
I sewed everything all together and i was almost through.

Finally i used a design silver colour elastic for the waist.
At first i thought of using a band with the same fabric but i later change my mind to make use of the silver elastic.

I really spent alot of time in creating this,i spent five hours during the day
For the beading i did it at night,i spent two hours and more and it was really challenging because there was no electricity but i had no option than to use my phone torch.
But the good thing is that i finished it up on time and my daughter had something to wear
She was so happy that she could take part in her school party
I felt fulfilled when i saw her smile and play.

Thank you so much very one for your time I felt i should share this with you all.
