Wishing a Very Wonderful Day to All My Dear Friends!
When preparing various types of food, it’s important to embrace creativity. One such delightful and traditional snack is the soft, sweet bun made from wheat flour — a treat that brings back memories of festive seasons and joyful gatherings. These buns are easy to prepare and have a soft yet slightly chewy texture that, when combined with a sweet sugar glaze, becomes an irresistible favorite among both children and adults. Although I used a drop or two of food coloring for this recipe, using natural coloring is always a healthier and more wholesome option. The combination of the soft texture and the sugar glaze makes this a timeless treat for any age. This simple recipe uses basic pantry ingredients, making it convenient to prepare at home. It’s perfect for tea time or any special occasion.
So, let’s get started and walk through the step-by-step method of preparing this delightful sweet bun.
Materials Used.
Wheat flour 150g.
Rice Flour 50g.
Sugar 150g.
1/4 Teaspoon of yeast .
1/4 Teaspoon of salt.
About two drops of food coloring in your favorite color.
1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
Coconut oil for frying.
Water 60ml.
The cooking process as follows.
First, take a bowl and add wheat flour, rice flour, yeast, a pinch of salt, a teaspoon of sugar, and a drop of coloring. Mix everything together well.
Next, gradually add some lukewarm water to the mixture while stirring, until a slightly thin batter is formed.
Now it's time to prepare the sugar syrup. To do this, place a pan on the stove and add sugar, water, and a drop of coloring. After a little while, as the sugar syrup starts to boil and rise, add a teaspoon of lime juice, mix well, and then remove it from the heat.
Next, take the batter that was set aside for 15 minutes and pour the desired amount into a piping bag. Then, make a small cut at the tip of the bag to allow the batter to flow through.
Now, take another pan and place it over the stove. Add the required amount of coconut oil and heat it until hot. Once the oil is heated, carefully pipe the batter into the oil using the piping bag as shown below. When they turn golden brown, remove them from the oil and immediately dip them into the sugar syrup, allowing them to absorb the sweetness. After soaking briefly, take them out and set aside.
Now, whether served fresh with a warm cup of tea or packed for a festive table, these sweet and soft wheat flour rings offer a nostalgic taste of homemade comfort. This simple and delightful sugary treat brings a smile with every bite. So, why not start preparing this delicious creation yourself today?
For now, I will take my leave. Wishing you a wonderful day!
