"If by now I don't know how to solve something, I go to the beach. If the waves don't wash away what occupies me, at least I'll get a tan."

"Show and explain one of your memorable weekends. Remember, your own photos are required."

As I read this week's proposal, I quickly thought of the various trips I've taken. I think the best moments immortalized in my mind were created while traveling to the beach with my husband and some friends. So I ran and searched my computer folder by folder of images to see which of those trips had been over a weekend.

In this particular one we went to a town in the state of Sucre called Araya. There is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited. I love a warm, crystal clear beach with waves, and this one has it all. The breeze is so strong that the sand hits your body like tiny pebbles. I don't like that so much 😸

If the sea water is salty, this one is a little more so. Believe me. This is due to something that caught my attention about this little town and this trip and that is that they are salt processors there. So it is common to pass by certain places and see mini mountains of salt waiting to be taken to the factories where they will be refined and packaged. Some of them had this very soft lavender color.

After a nice swim at the beach we went to see the ruins of one of the most visited sites there: the castle of Araya. We took some pictures in the late afternoon and left. That night we slept on mattresses, on the floor and almost in the open air because of the weather, worthy of a coastal area.

The next day we took the opportunity to buy fish. My friends are experts on the subject of fresh fish, how to choose, prepare and eat it. As I am a fish lover, going out with them it was for sure that I would eat fried fish, salad and vegetables. I don't love them just for that eh πŸ˜‚.

We made several stops along the way to buy auyama and green plantain. Sometimes on the road you get them at a better price than in the supermarket.

We ended our trip by visiting several rivers. Here we call them river passes because they are at a certain distance from each other. We just had to choose which one we liked the most to swim in. Even though the water was a bit cold, I couldn't help but try it so I put on my bathing suit and there I go 😁.

Then, we came home with shrimp-colored skin and went back to our routines, but with memories that deserve to never be forgotten πŸ’œ

Thanks for the suggestions, my friend Galen 😺
