Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Socmed Challenge. On this challenge, I will share a great combo which help me to grind on the gold-diamond league, let's check it out !
Blast Ability
First, let's talk about the blast ability. I think this ability is already very famous on Splinterlands because it's massive effect to give half damage to the units beside the main target, so you can hurt up to 3 monsters at a single attack (or just 1 if your target is the very front or very last monster). The summoners that have this ability at first time is Yodin Zaku and he was very very famous and usefull due to the powerfull blast effect.
Execute Ability
Now let's learn about Execute Ability. The description of this ability is, if the target has 2 or less health after a successful attack, the attacker perform another attack against the same unit. This is a great ability to make sure your monster finish their job, and eliminate the enemies instead let them doing action with 1 or 2 health point.
Why They Make a Great Synchronize
So, here is why those combination can be a very deadly. Execute, which normally only trigger for a single monster that is being targetted by the attacker, now can be triggered up to 3 monster ! This is because all of the monster that is getting the blast effect and have 2 or less health point would trigger the execute effect as well, so it will become more easier to eliminate the other monster beside the main target. And what make it even more impactfull is that the addition attack for those low health monster will trigger another blast ! So we are not only doing a normal additional attack, but also additional blast and more damage for many monsters !
Battle Example
Okay, as always I would give the battle example of my strategy, because we will easily understand the explanation by simple watching how it goes. You can watch the battle on https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_1f0a0220023acc842b9a600e2074f21a , but I will also share it here.
Here is the formation of both team. I use the dragon summoners that can give the execute ability for 3 monsters with 2 speed addition (you can also pick the deathblow plus blast, but since there is already blast from the ruleset, it would be a waste). I only have 5 monster because the summoner reduce my monster slot by 1 monster. I have a tough tanker followed with another sub tanker with phase for anticipating the magic, then followed by 3 great damager as well.
For the ruleset, we have lost legendary, blast, and melee mayhem, so all melee monsters can attack from any position. My enemy used almost same tanker and sub tanker there, and followed with great damager at the back, he got the advantage of 1 more monster.
How the Battle Goes
First round already give massive impact that lead to the result of the match. Thanks to the speed buff plus the execute, because my monsters are giving first attack which is very important on blast damage (whoever eliminating first have higher chance to win), and on this round, the execute triggered twice, with one of them are targetting the monsters that having low health after getting blasted !
At second round, another execute are triggered into the monster that is affected by the blast ! It's very effective combination to eliminate the enemies ! Now the enemy is only have 1 monster left and the result is pretty clear, right ?
My team finally win the match at 4th round, easy victory with the great combo !
Conclussion
Blast ability can make a very effective combination with the execute ability. By hurting the enemy around the main target, attacker can trigger their execute ability if any of these monsters are having 2 or less health point, and the addition attack given will also giving blast effect which would give even more massive effect on the battlefield !
