As I told you yesterday, this weekend Matias would be participating in a chess tournament on Saturday and Sunday at the Ecocenter mall, starting today at 9 am with the first round, so we left home early, this time just him and me, because the day would be until about 5 pm, and being the four of us there for so long was not really a valid option for today, especially because at home there were things to do, so we had to go alone.
We arrived at the mall a few minutes after nine o'clock, but luckily they had not started yet, although it did not take long to start, so he quickly took his place and I stayed there talking a little with some of the moms who like me stay all day.
For today 4 rounds were scheduled, one at 9 am, another at 11 am, and the next ones at 1 pm and 3 pm, so we had lunch at the mall which had several options and we decided to go down to buy some pizzas at the supermarket bakery Más x Menos, which was the first time we had eaten them and the truth is that they were delicious. We paid at the cashier of the bakery and went upstairs to eat with some of the guys who were participating in the tournament, including @ulisesjavier22.
That is a super necessary moment for them, because in that time the boys take the opportunity to distract themselves a little and relax after sitting for more than an hour, analyzing each play, so in my case, I try to distract Matias, think about something else and talk with other boys to be prepared for the next rounds.
As for me, when Mati entered the third round after lunch, I sat down with my friend @jesymora and we had a cup of coffee with milk and some oatmeal cookies that were super deli and between conversations the two remaining rounds went by.
Matias did quite well, he won two of the four rounds that were played today, and the ones he lost were against guys who have a lot of time training, so he came home happy. Tomorrow he still has three more rounds to go, we hope he does well in all of them, but without a doubt we are happy with his evolution since he started training at the academy, so tomorrow I will tell you how this new tournament ends for him. Como les comenté ayer, este fin de semana Matías estaría participando en un torneo de ajedrez los días sábado y domingo en el C.C. Ecocenter, iniciando el día de hoy a las 9 de la mañana con la primera ronda, así que salimos de casa temprano, esta vez solo él y yo, porque la jornada sería hasta las 5 de la tarde aproximadamente, y estar los cuatro allá por tanto tiempo realmente no era una opción válida para hoy, sobre todo porque en casa habían cosas por hacer, así que tocó irnos solos.
Llegamos al centro comercial unos minutos después de las nueve, pero por suerte aún no habían iniciado, aunque no demoró mucho en comenzar, así que rápidamente el tomó su lugar y yo me quedé conversando un poco con algunas de las mamás que al igual que yo se quedan toda la jornada.
Para hoy se fijaron 4 rondas, una para las 9, otra a las 11, y las siguientes para la 1 y 3 de la tarde, así que nos tocó almorzar en el centro comercial que por dicha cuenta con varias opciones y nosotros decidimos bajar a comprar unas pizzas en la panadería del supermercado Más x Menos, que era la primera vez que las comíamos y la verdad es que estaban deliciosas. Pagamos en la caja de la panadería y subimos a comer con algunos de los chicos que estaban participando en el torneo, entre ellos @ulisesjavier22.
Ese es un momento súper necesario para ellos, porque en ese tiempo los chicos aprovechan de distraerse un poco y relajarse después de estar sentados por más de una hora, analizando cada jugada, así que en mi caso, trato que Matías se distraiga, piense en otra cosa y converse con otros chicos para estar preparado para las siguientes rondas.
Por mi parte cuando Mati entró a la tercera ronda después del almuerzo, me senté con mi amiga @jesymora y nos tomamos un cafecito con leche y unas galletitas de avena que estaban súper deli y entre conversa y conversa se pasaron las dos rondas que faltaban.
A Matías le fue bastante bien, ganó dos de las cuatro rondas que se jugaron hoy, y las que perdió fueron con chicos que tienen muchisimo tiempo entrenando, así que vino contento a casa. Mañana le quedan aún tres rondas pendientes, esperando que le vaya bien en todas, pero sin dudas estamos contentos con su evolución desde que comenzó a entrenar en la academia, así que mañana les paso a contar como termina este nuevo torneo pera el.
