Hello my friends!🩷
So today, our Italian adventure began… quite dramatically. 🌧️💥
As we hit the road toward Lido di Jesolo early in the morning, we were greeted by a full-on weather show: rain, hail, fog – all we were missing was a rainbow and we would’ve had all four seasons in one day! 😂
But nothing could stop us – we were officially on vacation! 🚗💨
Since we arrived in Italy a bit early (at 10:30 AM) and check-in wasn’t until 2:00 PM, we decided to explore the town a little. And let me tell you – the place is HUGE! 😲 The streets were full of people, stalls, laughter, toy-grabbing machines (that totally suck you in even though you know you won’t win 😅), and a true summer vibe. And the sun came out!

As if Italy was saying, “Benvenuti!” ☀️🇮🇹
Starving like wolves, we headed to the first pizzeria that smelled amazing – and I’m not exaggerating, the pizza was DIVINE! 🍕🤤 Thin, crispy crust, cheese that melted perfectly, tomato sauce like it came straight from Nonna’s garden. I may have eaten one slice too many… but hey, I’m on vacation – that counts as wellness, right? 😜
After about two hours of strolling around, Ruby 🐾 (our furry travel buddy) and I headed to Hotel San Marco. Right at the entrance, we were welcomed by super friendly and lovely staff – honestly some of the kindest people. 🏨❤️ We quickly unpacked, settled in, and headed straight for the beach.
And ohhh, the beach! ✨☀️ Soft sand under our feet, warm sea, kids laughing, ice cream in one hand, towel in the other – absolute bliss. Ruby was living her best life, sprinting along the shore like a little rocket. 🐕🏖️ People were kind, chill, and everyone had a smile on their face… it truly felt like we’d stepped into another dimension where only good vibes exist.
In the evening, we treated ourselves to a calm coffee ☕, soaked in the salty air, and finally felt like the vacation had truly begun.
Now it’s almost 6:00 PM, the sky is starting to darken a bit and the radar shows some bad weather coming. 🌩️ But no worries!
Tonight’s plan: cozy movie night, tasty food delivery 🥡🍿, and snuggling under a blanket. 🛋️📺
Tomorrow brings a new day, a new Italian adventure – and if there’s sunshine, all the better. If not? Well… hailstorms have their own charm too, at least on the first day! 😄🇮🇹
