Just after we got the news about Archmage Yabanius, the promo card which is designed based on @yabapmatt, one of the Splinterlands Co- founder and current CEO, another promo card has been revealed. It's name is Yaba's Pickle which is based on one of yabapmatt's Runi that holds a pickle on its left hand.
And so, for this week's Community Engagement Challenge, I will talk about the new promo card and what are the different ways to get your hands a copy of it.
Yaba's Pickle Origin
Yaba's Pickle was based on one of yabapmatts Runi that has a pickle on it's left hand as a weapon which is a super rare trait among all the Runi. And then, he used that specific Runi for his avatar. So when Archmage Yabanius was created, they kind of follow it up with Yaba's Pickle because Yaba can't save Praetoria without his trusted pickle companion. In a sense, both promo cards is kind of a promotion for the 7th anniversary of the game.
While Archmage Yabanius was a promo card that is included in Conclave Arcana packs, Yaba's Pickle is a promo card that you need to purchase to get your hands of it. There are three ways to obtain it but before I go to that, first, let me share the card stats.

Yaba's Pickle may not have any attack but it has a decent amount of health and armor as well as be given an attack through Weapons Training or Armored Strike using Elias Max Pruitt. In terms of ability, it has Dodge that gives 25% chance to evade melee and range attacks as well as Slow that reduces the speed of all opponent units by 1, just the right set of abilities to compensate for it's low speed. It also has Shield to reduce the damage received from melee and range attack by half and Heal to restore it's health so that it can stay longer in battle.

How to Obtain Yaba's Pickle
Unlike previous promo card event that you can only buy through a certain method, there are multiple ways for players to acquire Yaba's Pickle. There is the SPS Stakeholders Pickle Release, to purchase a pickle that comes with a GF Arcane Raffle Ticket and a Black Foil Arcane Auction. All the revenue from this event will be split 50% between Splinterlands and DAO.
In this method, Yaba's Pickle will be available in three foil editions in the shop with Regular foil, Gold Foil at 2% drop rate and Black Foil at 1 in 4000 drop rate. You can double the chance of getting a Gold Foil copy by using Alchemy Potions as well as Black Foil with Midnight Potions. The card can be purchased at 150 worth of DEC or Credits and will last for 30 days.
There will be an SPS snap shop requirement in purchasing the card where a player can only buy a copy of the card for every 1000 SPS staked in their account. According to Splintercards, there are about 950M SPS that are staked as of the writing of this post so it can potentially print 950K BCX of the card.
Gold Foil Arcane Raffle
This method will takes place 7 days after the sale ends where there will no longer be an SPS Snapshot requirement, meaning no limit to the number of cards purchased. But in order to get the card, they will need to craft a Raffle Ticket at the cost of 200 Aura, 10 Vouchers and 200 DEC. In terms of cost, it is higher than the first method. The caveat is, there will be 50 Gold Foil Arcane cards available for grab and the crafted tickets can also be sold in the non- card market. Each day, the raffle will display how many tickets have been entered, so players can see their odds and all the tickets will be burned upon entry.
Black Foil Arcane Action
Another 7 days after the raffle event, there will be 20 Black Foil Arcane Cards that will be auction where 1 card will be auction every 25 hours. To participate in the bidding, players will need to craft Auction Point that needs 1000 Aura, 50 Vouchers and 500 DEC. Just like the raffle ticket, Auction Points can also be traded in the non- card market and in case a player was out bided, the point will be returned to them. Among the methods, this will be the priciest once but what players will get is among the rarest cards in the game.

And that was all the information that I gathered about the Yaba's Pickle card. Among the possible methods, I think I will just go with the first method and I think I have just enough SPS staked to get the copies of cards that I need. Anyway, Happy 7th anniversary and I hope for many years to come.
