Friends, Happy Sunday everyone.

Today looks a bit chilly as it started off with partly cloudy skies. However, I hope that as time goes on, the sky will become clearer and there will be a good presence of sunshine. Yesterday too the sky was a bit cloudy but there was no rain. So, today also I hope that the position of the sky will become bright and beautiful.

Today however, I will be sharing one of my favorite recipes with you as part of the Creative Sunday initiative. Because this initiative is very dear to me and I try to ensure my presence every Sunday. So, today I will share with you the recipe of Bhuna Khichuri. It is one of the most popular food of our country.

We try to make the times more enjoyable with such favorite recipes on various festivals or special days. We try to eat a lot of Bhuna Khichuri, especially on rainy days, but there is something more special about it. Like fried eggplant, fried fish and something like salat. Because their presence instantly doubles the taste of khichuri.

Required Materials-

  • Rice
  • Lentils
  • Mung bean
  • Onions
  • Raw chilies
  • Bay leaf, cinnamon
  • Turmeric powder
  • Chilli powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Cumin paste
  • salt
  • Oil.

Preparation phase-

First, I took two types of pulses in a bowl and soaked them in water for a few hours, then mixed the rice and pulses together.

Then put a cooking-pot on the stove and heat the oil, then add bay leaves and cinnamon and then fry the onions lightly.

Then add ginger garlic paste and cumin paste along with all the spices and grind them together.

When the masalas are grinded, add the soaked rice and pulses and cook it for some time. Then I gave the necessary water.

Then add raw chilies and cook like this for some time. After that I covered it with a lid and put it in dhom for some time and then when the water dried up I took it down for serving.

My favorite Bhuna Khichuri is ready to serve. We like these recipes in great atmosphere or special events. With anything fish or vegetables like fries, this Bhuna khichuri tastes amazing.

All are my original photographs.

Thanks all.
