Saludos nuevamente, luego de una larga pausa en la mejor iniciativa musical de todo Hive: El Three Tune Tuesday, del amigo @ablaze. Hoy les traigo tres canciones de uno de los mejores guitarristas de los últimos tiempos: ERIC CLAPTON, cuya música y su historia personal me conmueven profundamente.
Greetings again, after a long pause in the best musical initiative in all of Hive: Three Tune Tuesday, from friend @ablaze. Today I bring you three songs by one of the best guitarists of recent times: ERIC CLAPTON, whose music and personal story move me deeply.
Como ya he dicho previamente, admiro profundamente a los guitarristas, porque creo que el sonido de la guitarra, al ser adecuadamente ejecutada, puede despertar recuerdos, sentimientos y emociones de una manera sublime. Y para hoy, quise traer tres canciones de este estupendo músico, ya que días atrás, al anochecer estaba en el solar y veía el ocaso, y pude oír en una radio cercana, dos canciones de Clapton, no estas que hoy les comparto, sino otras, Layla y Change the World. En ese momento recordé cuánto me gusta su música, y tomé conciencia de que tenía meses sin oírlo, así que decidí traerlo al #ttt.
As I have previously said, I deeply admire guitarists, because I believe that the sound of the guitar, when properly played, can awaken memories, feelings and emotions in a sublime way. And for today, I wanted to bring three songs by this wonderful musician, since days ago, at dusk I was in the lot and saw the sunset, and I could hear two songs by Clapton on a nearby radio, not these that I share with you today, but others, Layla and Change the World. At that moment I remembered how much I like his music, and I realized that I hadn't heard him in months, so I decided to bring him to #ttt.
Teniendo en cuenta que estamos en temporada navideña, recordé dos canciones de él que me encantan para Navidad, y en la búsqueda de éstas, encontré una versión de un clásico, que siempre me ha gustado pues literalmente toca mi corazón. No voy a ahondar en la historia personal o musical de Clapton, sólo quiero decir que lo compadezco mucho, pues perder un hijo, tal como le ocurrió a él, es la peor tragedia que puede experimentar cualquier padre. Dicho esto vamos a ver mis canciones de hoy #ttt.
Taking into account that we are in the Christmas season, I remembered two of his songs that I love for Christmas, and in searching for them, I found a version of a classic, which I have always liked because it literally touches my heart. I'm not going to delve into Clapton's personal or musical history, I just want to say that I feel very sorry for him, because losing a child, as happened to him, is the worst tragedy that any parent can experience. That being said, let's see my songs today #ttt.

Quiero empezar esta trilogía de hoy, con esta vieja canción, que es una bella canción de Navidad, (no fue escrita por Clapton, aunque los arreglos de esta versión sí son hechos por él), no sólo por su música, sino por la historia que se cuenta en el video, que podría decirse es una especie de autobiografía de Eric Clapton, se trata de: White Christmas. Esta historia la podemos ver en el estupendo video stop motion que es el oficial de esta canción, por eso les invito a que no se pierdan de verlo, estoy segura que les encantará, porque hay que reconocer algo, los videos oficiales de las canciones de Clapton son GENIALES!
I want to start this trilogy today, with this old song, which is a beautiful Christmas song, (it was not written by Clapton, although the arrangements of this version were made by him), not only because of its music, but because of the story that is told in the video, which could be said to be a kind of autobiography of Eric Clapton, it is about from: White Christmas. We can see this story in the wonderful stop motion video that is the official one for this song, that is why I invite you not to miss watching it, I am sure you will love it, because something must be recognized, the official videos of the songs of Clapton are GREAT!
Mi segunda canción de Navidad, tampoco fue escrita por Clapton, pero él sí le dio su toque personal, muy al estilo blues, y se trata de Home For The Holidays. Esta canción es realmente hermosa, y la versión que hace Clapton de ella, es magistral, se siente mucho el estilo blues; además, el video official es hermoso, hecho en dibujos animados, y cuenta la travesía que hace Santa Claus al comprar su trineo y llegar hasta su hogar en el Polo Norte. Les invito a oír esta magnífica canción y ver este lindo video. Por cierto, estas dos canciones forman parte del album Happy Xmas, del año 2018.
My second Christmas song was not written by Clapton either, but he did give it his personal touch, very bluesy, and it is Home For The Holidays. This song is really beautiful, and Clapton's version of it is masterful, the blues style is very much felt; furthermore, the official video is beautiful, made in cartoons, and tells the journey that Santa Claus makes when he buys his sleigh and gets to his home at the North Pole. I invite you to listen to this magnificent song and watch this beautiful video. By the way, these two songs are part of the album Happy Xmas, from 2018.
Y he dejado para el final, la canción que es para el corazón Moon River, un clásico que ha sido versionado miles de veces, y que cada vez que lo oigo, me siento diferente, es como si me llenase de esperanza y a la vez de nostalgia. Esta versión de hoy es reciente, de este año 2023, y la grabó Clapton con otro estupendo músico, Jeff Beck. En ésta, Clapton canta y Beck toca la guitarra. El video es hermoso, también hecho con dibujos animados. Realmente me ha sorprendido y encantado esta hermosa y delicada versión, por supuesto, con su respectivo toque de blues. No se pierdan el video, aquí se los comparto.
And I have left for last, the song that is for the heart Moon River, a classic that has been covered thousands of times, and every time I hear it, I feel different, it is as if I filled with hope and at the same time nostalgia. This version today is recent, from this year 2023, and was recorded by Clapton with another great musician, Jeff Beck. In this one, Clapton sings and Beck plays the guitar. The video is beautiful, also made with cartoons. I was really surprised and enchanted by this beautiful and delicate version, of course, with its respective blues touch.
