While the next edition of The Ghost of Tsushima, known as The Ghost of Yotei, will be coming soon, I decided to continue playing my Tsushima game, but this time I played Legend mode. Legend mode comes with new missions, kits, weapons, characters, and its survival mode, which can be very difficult to play. Also, Legend Mode can only be played online, unlike the game's story mode, which can be played online and offline.
In this mode, more graphics are employed, and a predominant use of red all over the feel of the game was used, probably to give that deadly mode feeling while playing the game. I started with the first mission, which was quite easy as expected. I had to get rid of the Mongols and free the hostages without them getting hurt. After doing that, new techniques were unlocked, and some gears were unlocked as well. Mostly different helmets and a new sword for my character.
But when things got interesting was when I unlocked a new fighting skill. My newest skill involves slaying multiple Mongols at once by clicking on R1 and L1 at the same time. Oh yeah, the power is electrifying, and the graphics are one of a kind throughout the game. Although there is a catch, your kill bar at the bottom has to be filled up to the max, and I am talking about all four bars, then you hit the buttons and watch the magic happen.
The couple of missions that came in next were more difficult than expected. This time, I am on a mission to defeat the Oyibaba, a powerful sorceress using a horde of goons, lesser sorcerers to strengthen the lives of the Mongols, and capture the souls of monks and villagers. The mission is still ongoing for me, but now I have discovered the trick behind the play: go for the goons of lesser sorcerers, once they are dead, then you attack the Mongols. That way, the Mongols are no longer immune to your strikes, and your game plan of defeating them pack by pack will be working. Also, you avoid wasting your life bar, and you get more kills.
The game has good sounds, dialogues, and storylines that keep you going, and the ones in Legend Mode are even better. Built with more scenes, deadly weapons, and more techniques that are not in the main game, like
Deadly Blade: you will feel my blade
A powerful technique that takes more life from the Mongols with a single strike. Get cracking on the game if you haven't already. More will come in the new edition. As for me, it is also my go-to when I am not in the mood for any PC game or mobile game. For a better experience, use a good sound system or headset. You will be hooked.
