Day 4 with my new toy doing Amersfoort citywalk #monomad style .
Why part 01 ? well posting 55 photos in one post is a bit much even when i already downsized them to 1080p .
Day 4 ? yes day 4 if you missed the other days go have a look on my blog , but beware they are in color and not black and white ๐.
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge
All images are created by me with my Sony A7II + LAOWA FF 15mm F4.5 1:2 Macro lens.
The weather condition was cloudy , but still decent light for photography , but no sunshine to show the sunstars , but you can see them in color on one of the other posts .
On some photos i used lens correction on other photos i didn't simply because the streets are to narrow to get a decent photo and still have room for lens correction .
1 ) Parking garage , because you can't drive through the shopping streets , and soon only electric cars might even be allowed in city centers.
Some major cities here already have restrictions on petrol cars .
2 ) One of the old canals where they do boatrides for tourists through the canals .
3 ) Evang - Luthersche kerk 1517 - 1917 ...
found out they have a website anbout the history : https://amersfoortsezwaan.nl/geschiedenis/ it's in Dutch but google translate might be able to help you out .
4 ) Abraham Frenkel and Elisabeth Frenkel - Vieijera
they lived at this address until they were deported by Nazi Germans to Auschwitz in 1942 were the both got murderd on Septbember 30th 1942 at the age of 22 and 25 years old .
some more background information can be found here : https://www.herdenkingsstenenamersfoort.nl/slachtoffers/abraham-frenkel/
5 ) The city still has many old buildings that survived the test of time.
Most of them have the monument status to preserve them , you also see a lot of old doors from the past .
6 ) And in the main shopping street if you look up you can still see the old buildings even if they have changed the front doors in to glass walls to seduce customers to purchase whatever they don't need .
7 ) This bronze statue is called "De stadstrompetter" and is made by Paul Kingma back in 1968 that makes me 2 years older then the statue ..
found some more info on the statue in Dutch here : https://www.amersfoortopdekaart.nl/kunstwerken/binnenstad/stadstrompetter/pointofinterest/detail
8 ) The kamperbinnepoort and belongs to the cities first city walll and dates back to 13th century
9 ) Like i said before a lot of old doors to be discoverd here
10 ) And another nice doorway , also a Monument building
11 ) Probably an old coach house
That was all for today . enjoy your weekend !
