Maybe you know Beijing as one of the leading modern cities in the world, with rapid development in China, with an enormous subway system, and so many visitors from around the world and from various parts of China. It is true that the modern area of Beijing is really modern, with all the modern facilities and excessively clean streets like those in a developed country. But still Beijing has kept its old history safe from modern and technological advancement in some of its core central areas, where you will find no sky-touching buildings or towers, but you will find only old Beijing traditional duplex homes.
Most of these old areas are just in the center of the city in the surrounding area of the Forbidden City of Beijing, which was the center of the dynastic age of Chinese history. Though Beijing has faced tremendous destruction from the northern and eastern regions, the authority of the Beijing Municipal Government has kept this area dedicated to the history and tradition of the Beijing people from the very early time of the 19th century.
Still, there are various areas where the old city of Beijing can be explored. Recently, I visited this old area of Beijing when I visited Beihai Park. It was a sunny day, and the air quality was also very good, which made this old city area much more attractive. There is no glass and aristocratic buildings here, but the concrete buildings without any gorgeousness have a simple beauty that reminds one of the old history of Beijing city.
Also, I have explored some HUTONG in this old part of the city. If you don't know what 'Hutong?' Then I want to tell you, short—they are the narrow streets between the old Beijing people's residential yards, which are like narrow streets for the local people in the residential area, and are still protected as a sign of Beijing's history. Every year, many people visit this area, and you can see a lot of walking people in the area, as I have experienced there.
There are several tourist spots in this area as the Forbidden Kingdom is the most famous one. It is so popular that often it is quite difficult to buy a ticket as most of the time all of the tickets throughout the week, especially on weekends, are sold out very fast. Then the only way to go to the counter to buy the tickets is sometimes to wait for the cancellation of some tickets.
I have seen a lot of people visiting the Forbidden Kingdom as I was passing by the road where the exit gate of the Forbidden Kingdom is located. I have also seen some long tourist queues for buying tickets. It is a good thing in China that there is no separate queue or ticket price for foreigners or native people. In my country, Bangladesh, many tourist spots require different costly tickets for foreigners. The good news is that our government is now working to solve these issues to attract more tourists from different countries of the world.
I hope you like my photos of the beautiful Roadside area of the old area of the Beijing City. This area will definitely soothe anyone's heart with its excellent beauty and natural serenity in the old area of the city. The fresh weather and the excellent air quality were also enjoyable, making great use of my weekend. If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them as much as I can afford.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.
Wishing you a good day!
I took all the photos, and these are my own property.
