As always my day starts with walking the dog.
As always it ends with me taking the dog on his evening walk. Today to the light of a full moon.
Well, maybe there was a little change in the morning. BEFORE I walked the dog I knew it was going to be a longer walk so I made to do 10 minutes of stretches and balancing exercises first.
My foot will pay for it if I don't do my stretches.
Now my wife was off work today so we went on a longer than usual walk for the dog. We went to Campbell River park in Langley, BC.
It was a pretty beautiful walk and it started with us going by an old farmstead and an old schoolhouse.
I can only imagine the people plowing the fields in the old days. I can also imagine industrious homesteaders ilke @monica-ene doing their farming magic on land like this.
However, the homestead area was only a tiny part of the walk. After that we got to a cool wooded area
There were also grassy meadow areas.
There were areas with hazards as well...
Like washed out bridges
Giant Hogweed
Wasp nest
and an abandoned half kilometer speedway.
Just kidding the speedway wasn't dangerous. There likely hasn't been a car on that in a few decades at least.
Overall it was a very long trip through the park. 14K steps. At the end I was tired and just wanted to go home.
Then the road was slow traffic because of an accident.
Which kind of made me wish for the old days of horse and carriage. Horses are smart enough not to run into each other. Or at least the ones on the trail that we saw today were
Of course when you have a dog that gets very excited around big animals like horses it makes being in close proximity with them a little bit scary.
Overall a good walk but I was so tired at the end...and I did want to work on my upcoming post "Tenants VS Landlords" but I've been working on it for over a week and its still not finished :(
Oh well,
Maybe tomorrow.
