Things have been a little bit crazy around here there last few days. It looks like this weekend I'll finally be able to catch up at least a little bit. I've already had two cups of coffee and I'm still not fully awake, I foresee a nap for myself come this afternoon! Fortunately, things are going to be a little quieter today. The only thing I absolutely have to do is visit a friend who's hospitalized, that may come after the nap!
In the cryptocurrency markets, it's not been the strongest of weeks to say the least. BTC did have a nice short rally to about $109,000 only to give it all back all the way down to just below $104,000. Where are we going this next week? Who knows? This cycle has been different than the others, and maybe that's the new normal. I'll continue to hold my BTC though, it still has a bright future ahead in my opinion.
Hive has had a rougher week. It seems to be trending down to around $0.20. The question is will it stay above the $0.20 mark or erode back down into the teens? Any bets anyone? Needless to say I will continue to power up Hive and the cheaper prices are a very good thing for that purpose!

Now I'm going to head into my goals here on Hive, especially Hive Power and second layer tokens. I joined the Saturday Savers group some time back to help me better define my goals for the ecosystem. Since then I do a weekly review and changes to strategy, when needed, to get to the finish line faster. Let's start with my Hive Power.
Hive Power
This year's primary goal is to reach 10,000 staked HP.
Current HP: 9,055 (90.6% complete)
Goal HP: 10,000
I increased my HP by 154 this week, which is a little above average. So doing some quick math in my head I should be arriving at my goal in about 6 weeks if I keep up this pace. I do hope to achieve it sooner converting more HBD into Hive to power up along the way. It really does feel great to finally be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel on this one and we're not even yet into July!
After the 10K I'm sure I'll continue to add to my HP, but I haven't decided if I want to set a new goal yet or not. There are some other projects I may choose to focus on instead, but time will tell.

PIMP
My secondary goal of the year. It's a great token that is backed by both BTC and physical silver. I'm slowly heading for 100K! I did buy some more this week to put into the liquidity pool with THGaming which has an APR of about 34%.

I'm just letting tokens earned accumulate unstaked until next power up day. But I'm up a couple over last week.

PIZZA
This last one has been kind of a quiet goal that I'm doing solely on speculation that it may go up some more this year. Plus it gives me 15 tips a day and occasionally a nice curation. No new goal here at the moment, but that could change!

DUO
Coming up on a year ago now, I started a token project with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman called DUO token. If you stake 200 DUO you receive daily Hive dividends and a curation on your quality posts once a day as well. For those who stake 500 or more you are able to tip someone else's post with some DUO, in return you receive the same amount of the tip in your account as well.
The current tranche of tokens is selling for 1.5 Hive each, it makes me glad I bough a bunch back in the first trach for 0.5 Hive a piece!

This week I didn't add any to my stack, so next week I'll have to pick up the pace to make it to 200!

This is a great token that pays out liquid Hive weekly and curations when holding more than 100 in your account. Additionally, for participating in Saturday Savers I have receive a total of 4 EDSMM which mine some EDSI periodically. The more the have the more you earn, and delegating HP can earn you EDSI as well!
PAKX
I have started to slowly buy up tokens for this project and delegated some HP to it as well. I think I'm shooting for 100 PAKX in the next few months, this is a completely new goal and I will inform you more as I accumulate!

CCD
I continue to hold this token and earn some daily from an HP delegation. This is a project by the @cryptocompany and has some nice benefits. Those who hold one million staked can claim one HSBI daily, if you have 500K staked you can claim an HSBI twice a week, and at 100K staked you can claim an HSBI once a month.
CCD current: 528,000 roughly
So no changes in my position here, I will continue to hold and enjoy HSBI twice a week. @powerpaul is busy building some new functions for the project. Eventually a new game will be in the works as well!
Silver and Gold
Silver and gold prices struggled this week as the trade war with China appears to be thawing. However, with the mess in the Middle East and Ukraine people still are flocking to the stability of the precious metals. I've always been a big believer in owning them as it is historically one of the best ways to build wealth.
I still can see gold reaching $4,000 per Troy ounce later this years and silver over $40 per Troy ounce. I think there is still room for profits to be made!

Every week I do like to share some gold or silver that is on sale, and this week it is the 1/10th of a Troy ounce Gold Eagle coin. These beautiful coins use the obverse (front) designed by Saint-Gaudens for the Double Eagle coin back in the days of President Teddy Roosevelt. The reverse (back) was changed starting in 2021 but some of the original ones were produced until 2023. So you never know what version you get as these are sold as random dates!

I kind of prefer the earlier design with the eagle flying to the nest, but no one asked my opinion. Right now each coin is $378.38 (usual price $432.38) at the time of writing. It's really a great price on these beauties. So if it's in the budget these are always a great investment!
Historically gold and silver are a great way to build wealth, and are always a smart investment in anyone's portfolio.
