Street photography works particularly well in places where people are distracted and where you don't attract attention with a camera in your hand. The Bund promenade in Shanghai is just such a place. People here are too busy taking snapshots and posing in front of the fantastic view of the Pudong skyline. As a photographer, you can stand almost directly in front of, behind or next to them and they don't even notice you. My 85mm lens gave me the opportunity to still keep enough distance so as not to be in the way. Unfortunately, I am increasingly dissatisfied with the autofocus performance of this lens. This is especially evident in low light conditions. It is also sometimes difficult to tell whether the autofocus was not accurate or the exposure time was a touch too long. The sharpness of the shots taken with this lens that evening is therefore not quite what I had in mind. Nevertheless, I would like to show you a few impressions and wish you a great start to the weekend!
Straßenfotografie funktioniert besonders gut an Orten, an denen Menschen abgelenkt sind und an denen man mit einer Kamera in der Hand nicht auffällt. Die Uferpromenade "The Bund" in Shanghai ist genau so ein Ort. Die Menschen hier sind zu sehr damit beschäftigt, Erinnerungsfotos zu schießen und vor der traumhaften Aussicht auf die Skyline von Pudong zu posieren. Als Fotograf kann man sich fast direkt vor, hinter oder neben sie stellen und sie bemerken einen nicht einmal. Mein 85mm Objektiv gab mir die Möglichkeit, trotzdem genug Abstand zu halten, um nicht im Weg zu stehen. Leider bin ich immer unzufriedener mit der Autofokus-Performance dieser Linse. Dies zeigt sich vor allem bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen. Auch ist es manchmal schwer zu erkennen, ob der Autofokus nicht treffsicher war oder die Belichtungszeit eine Spur zu lang. Die Schärfe der Aufnahmen, die an diesem Abend mit diesem Objektiv entstanden, ist also nicht ganz das, was ich mir vorstelle. Ich möchte euch aber trotzdem ein paar Eindrücke zeigen und wünsche euch einen schönen Start ins Wochenende!
