Hello gamers! I hope you're all doing well. This time, I'm bringing you a new game that I really enjoyed playing, and I intend to play it even more this time. First of all, it doesn't weigh anything, just 2.32 GB, and it's also super fun. It's happened a lot these days that I've really gotten bored playing some of the games I've already installed, but oh well. First of all, Darkest Dungeon is a 2D turn-based role-playing RPG with a rather gothic and dark look.
It has a rather interesting theme: clearing out inherited lands that have become a sort of ghost town with dungeons and other things that we must clear in the various adventures. After seeing the story, which has very good illustrations, we jump straight into the game. Here we'll have to select the game mode. This comes with a very interesting warning that says, "Here we try to create the worst possible experience. Heroes who are dead will stay dead, and those who don't heal will stay injured. Everything is progressive." I'm paraphrasing, but something like that is what it tells us, so we'll have to be very careful with every decision we make.
We'll move in a scrolling style, and this is how the game unfolds. Each match will be a quest in itself, and we must finish it. If we fail to complete the quest, the quest will disappear forever. So, well, we'll practically have to start a new story if we want to play it again. So this will be delicate. We'll have to choose each move carefully, as well as each strategy and its elements.
We'll move between the map's rooms to explore the dungeon and eliminate enemies. We'll encounter different types of enemies in different groups, all of which we must face. We'll have to use items and analyze battles to advance and recover hidden rewards.
As we progress further into the dungeon, we must be mindful of food. Stress, paranoia, and darkness will be some of the things we must counteract by eating, using torches, and moving quickly to avoid falling into darkness and increasing the characters' stress. If darkness falls, some dynamics and attacks will be affected, so we must be very aware of this.
In addition to leveling up characters and modifying some things I'm not yet familiar with, we can upgrade the town's buildings, where we can heal heroes, improve certain stats, and purchase items. The game itself has a lot to discover. I think it's worth playing and continuing to discover as we progress through the story. Turn-based gameplay is something I love, so I really enjoyed the gameplay.
I got this game for free through Epic Games. If you have it, played it, or would like to, leave me a comment about what you thought. Thanks for reading.
