As you already know, I am a big fan of Matt Andersen, a Canadian singer songwriter. Last October he was in Arnhem, near our village. Of course I bought tickets and was there with my youngest son, my eldest brother and one of my best friends. We had a front row seat and it was great again.
He seemed to have lost a lot of weight, which is clearly visible in the photos, but he has not lost any of his voice. When this man starts singing, accompanied by his crazy guitar playing, I am silent.
If you ever have the opportunity, go see it... He's funny, serious and so musical. And I think the great thing is, with just a guitar and his amazing musicality, he silences the entire room... as silent as a mouse...
I had seen him cover Bruce Springsteen's I'm on Fire a number of times on YouTube a long time ago. He played this, for the first time for me, live with the keyboardist from his support act. It was another great evening, I thoroughly enjoyed it and scored another shirt. ;)
Have a great weekend,
Peter
