La Restiga by boat, an incredible ride.
Some time ago I had the opportunity to go to La Restinga by boat, we did a long 2 hour ride where the boatman explained the reserve they have of oysters and gave us a talk about the history of all the tours, which even have a name. You enter through a super nice channel surrounded by trees where the roots are superficial, that is, they are not buried in the sea. This town, besides being a tourist route, is also a fishermen's town, as they go there to catch oysters. This lagoon is salty because it connects with the sea and there are many birds and fish, and the trees are called mangroves, which are the ones that have the oysters submerged in the roots. It is said that this beach is the longest on Margarita Island and is 27km long. That day it started to rain, so we could not go to the beach but we did walk around the lagoon for a while and saw starfish, seahorses and ate oysters.
It was a very nice trip that I recommend to those who have the opportunity to come to Margarita Island.

La Restiga en lancha, un paseo increíble.
Hace tiempo que tuve la oportunidad de ir a la Restinga en lancha, hicimos un paseo largo de 2 horas donde el lanchero explicó la reserva que tienen de ostras y nos dio una charla historia de todos los recorridos, que hasta nombre tienen. Entras por un canal súper bonito rodeado de árboles donde las raíces son superficiales, es decir no están enterradas en el mar. Este pueblo también aparte de ser una ruta turística, también es de pescadores ya que van hasta allá para sacar ostras. Esta laguna es salada ya que se conecta con el mar y hay muchas aves y peces, y los árboles se llaman manglares, que son los que tienen las ostras sumergidas en las raíces. Se dice que están playa es la más extensa de la isla de Margarita y cuenta con 27km de largo. Ese día empezó a llover, por lo que no pudimos ir a la playa pero si recorrimos bastante rato por toda la laguna y vimos estrellas de mar, caballitos de mar y comimos ostras.
Fue un paseo muy lindo que recomiendo a quienes tengan la oportunidad de venir a la isla de Margarita.
