For today’s topic, I’ve chosen Knick-Knacks. This is the sixth volume in this theme. From time to time, I come across amazing random objects just waiting to be captured. If I’m lucky, the light joins the game and helps me make the photo stand out. After all, that’s what we’re after, isn’t it?

Plastic mannequins might not blink or breathe, but they do an incredible job of bringing clothes to life. With their smooth, often expressionless faces and sculpted poses, they turn fabric into fashion. Whether they’re standing proudly in shop windows or waiting quietly in a studio, these mannequins are the behind-the-scenes heroes of retail and photography. Durable, lightweight, and easy to clean, plastic mannequins are made to withstand the wear and tear of daily styling, all while keeping their poise. They might be silent, but they speak volumes about style. And who would know, they can also be an art piece.

Glowing softly in the night, Chinese silk lanterns are more than just decoration — they’re symbols of celebration, luck, and centuries-old tradition. Handcrafted from delicate silk and stretched over bamboo or metal frames, each lantern tells a quiet story in color and shape. Whether floating through the sky during festivals or swaying gently above a garden path, their warm light carries a sense of peace and beauty. Red ones invite good fortune, gold ones whisper of prosperity.

Metal fans are the unsung heroes of household cooling. Before air conditioning became common, these sturdy machines were the go-to solution for chasing away summer heat. And even today, they haven’t lost their place. With strong blades, solid construction, and a bit of vintage style, metal fans offer both function and flair. My plastic fan is envy just by watching it.

When we think of dragons in Western stories, we often imagine terrifying beasts guarding treasure or burning villages with fire. But in Asian cultures, dragons tell a completely different story — one of wisdom, strength, and harmony. Here, dragons are not monsters to be feared but powerful, benevolent beings that bring balance to the world. Vietnamese people believe they are descendants of a dragon lord, and the dragon is deeply woven into national identity. It represents life, prosperity, and strength

Speaking of dragons... Small, silent, and often spotted clinging to walls or ceilings, the gecko is one of nature’s most fascinating little creatures. With their wide eyes, sticky toes, and quirky behavior, geckos have captured human curiosity for centuries, and in many cultures, even a bit of superstition. Geckos are part of the lizard family, but unlike most of their scaly cousins, they have some unique tricks up their sleeve. One of their most impressive features is their ability to climb almost any surface, even upside down, thanks to microscopic hairs on their toes that let them stick to walls like tiny superheroes. They also do not have eyelids, so they lick their eyes to keep them clean and moist.

If you are a fan of knick-knacks here is my first, second, third , fourth and fiifth collection.
