Last week it was Xolo's turn and I promised you that soon I would do his evolution, because I had to take advantage of the dark gray thread before I used it in something else.
The process is very similar, since they have the same range of colors and similar shapes. In this embroidery I also drew only the upper part so that the details of the face could be perceived more easily. In addition, in the lateral space I drew the letters of her name, but in a curved shape to make the most of the space on the canvas. I hope you like it. Hola, comunidad de Holozing, una vez más por aquí para mostrarles mi nuevo fanart. En esta ocasión les muestro cómo bordé al imponente Xolobis. La semana pasada le tocó a Xolo y les prometí que próximamente haría a su evolución, pues tenía que aprovechar el hilo gris oscuro antes de que lo utilizara en otra cosa.
El proceso es muy parecido, ya que tienen la misma gama de colores y formas similares. En este bordado también dibujé solo la parte superior para que se percibieran los detalles de la cara con mejor facilidad. Además, en el espacio lateral dibujé las letras de su nombre, pero de forma curva para aprovechar al máximo el espacio del lienzo. Espero que les guste. Generally, the first thing I do is to mark on a sheet of paper the outline of the embroidery hoop I am going to use to know precisely the space in which to draw the design. After the drawing is ready, the paper is placed on top of a piece of carbon paper and the fabric to transfer the drawing. This is one of the best techniques to make the transfer, because if you draw directly on the fabric, you can make mistakes that could affect the final result. After this process you will notice that the lines are a little clear, so I take a pen and go over the whole drawing to improve its visibility. Then I place the fabric in the embroidery hoop.
Generalmente, lo primero que hago es marcar en una hoja de papel el contorno del aro de bordar que voy a utilizar para saber con precisión el espacio en el cual dibujar el diseño. Después de tener listo el dibujo, se coloca el papel encima de un papel carbón y la tela para transferir el dibujo. Esta es una de las mejores técnicas para hacer la transferencia, pues si se dibuja directamente en la tela, podemos cometer errores que podrían afectar el resultado final. Luego de este proceso apreciarán que quedan las líneas un poco claras, entonces tomo un bolígrafo y repaso todo el dibujo para mejorar la visibilidad de este. Después coloco la tela en el aro de bordar.
I started embroidering with black thread. I embroidered the whole silhouette and inner lines to define each part well, because sometimes if you fill with dark thread, the colors are mixed and the lines of the mouth, eyes, etc. are not delimited. For these silhouettes I used only 3 strands of thread to make them thinner, so I used a thinner needle.
Comencé a bordar con el hilo de color negro. Bordé toda la silueta y líneas interiores para definir bien cada parte, pues a veces si se rellena con hilo oscuro, se mezclan los colores y no se delimita las líneas de la boca, los ojos, etc. Para estas siluetas utilicé solo 3 hebras de hilo para que quedaran más finas, por tanto, coloqué una aguja de menor grosor.
I changed needles to fill in much faster, I used a thicker needle that allowed me to embroider with the 6 strands of thread. With the yellow thread I embroidered the chest and the center of the face, as well as the inside of the eyes.
Cambié de aguja para rellenar mucho más rápido, usé una más gruesa que me permitía bordar con las 6 hebras de hilo. Con el hilo de color amarillo bordé la parte del pecho y el centro de la cara, así como el interior de los ojos.
With the pink and blue threads I embroidered the inside and the upper part of the ears, just as the original character has them. I did the same with the nose, the spot on the forehead and the side of the neck.
Con los hilos rosa y azul bordé el interior y la parte superior de las orejas, tal y como las tiene el personaje original. De igual forma hice con la nariz, la mancha de la frente y el lateral del cuello.
With the dark gray thread I filled all the remaining interior that would be the fur, thus finishing the character.
Con el hilo de color gris oscuro rellené todo el interior restante que sería el pelaje, quedando de esta forma terminado el personaje.
With a hand needle and black thread, I embroidered the name Xolobis with a backstitch, using only one strand of thread to make the letters thinner and more delineated.
Con una aguja de mano e hilo negro bordé con la puntada paso atrás, el nombre de Xolobis utilizando solo una hebra de hilo para que quedaran más finas y delineadas las letras.
And this is how this beautiful embroidery of Xolobis, one of the many characters of the Holozing ecosystem, would be finished.
