July 03, 2022 was the exact date I successfully joined Hive after several attempts. As mentioned before, I browsed the platform several times but found it complicated. Though in my mind, I should wait for the perfect time, lol. At least, I wasn't disappointed when the @hiveph hosted a webinar which, luckily, I attended. Speaking of, there is a scheduled webinar again tomorrow, June 3, at Philippine standard time. (check Hive latest post)
Looking back, I never expected to stay and enjoy engaging with my fellow Hivers. No, not that I wasn't planning to stay at first; I was somehow pressured and worried about the quality of blogs I might share upon reading others. The formatting, sourcing, grammar, and even photos seemed photographed professionally. Compared to mine? However, I was thankful to all who supported me, patiently answered my queries, and taught me what I needed to know. Not only that, but also for the curation, HP delegation.
After ten long months, I am glad to see my account grow from zero HP to 1540. Thus, I opted to participate in the usual event since today is Hive Power Day.
Added 15 more and got a total of 1555HP as of the writing. 445 more to go to reach my goal for this year, 2000HP.
Why am I staking Hive?
Aside from the badge, I also wanted to increase my voting power. The joy I felt when I got the voting value of 0.02? That made me grin!
Though this month, I won a 500 delegation sponsored by @zekepickleman. That was highly appreciated, as it helped a lot to increase my voting power.
Aside from the HP, my engagement also grows upon checking the badges awarded by Hivebuzz.
From doubting myself in writing, now I managed to publish 150 blogs and got the author of the week once. Felt comfortable talking with others and leaving comments once I have time.
The badges that I wanted to complete for this year! Almost done with half of it.
With the remaining two months left before I celebrate my 1st birthday here on Hive, I look forward to more great days. More Hive Powers to everyone!
