A look at the September 1981 issue of Byte magazine.
Spending yet more #money on things I wish I didn't need to spend it on. Buying a new PSU for my personal #computer, Current PSU is over 10 years old, a hx1000i.
Been having crashes and m.2 drive vanishing recently. My motherboard reports the 3.3v is running around 3v and the 5v is running 4.8, 12v is 12-12.2v PSU reports voltages are stable and correct but I do wonder... mobo or PSU?
I've chosen PSU as the problem due to it's age, cause I could be getting dirty power also and I can't measure that.
Also a new extension cord for my equally old extension cable.
Swapping a PSU in my case is a BIG job, due to cable routing requiring moving the mobo plate which requires removing pipes and draining the system.. so I'll be changing my coolant while I'm at it as that's long overdue.
Show MoreFinally had to update my 7.5 year old PC's OS from Win 7 to Win 10. Been a day of fixing shit. lol.
Also decided to get a new laptop for any other problems that might start to pop up. :)
