This is my explanation of what an AI agents is, explained as simply as I possibly can (and as I currently understand it):
An AI Agent is basically a software framework wrapped around (any) LLM, and then empowered to a) be able to make autonomous decisions and b) has access to different tools like;
- the ability to search the web for up to date information
- scan github repositories
- read folder structures
- produce files/ documents
- send e-mails etc.
Here's a metaphore: Your job is to hammer a nail into a plank, but you don't have a hammer or any other kind of tools. An LLM without an agent is sort of in the same position. Sure, it can probably somewhat get the nail in, but the result probably won't be very good.
Show MoreI made neat little progam that will scan any text file and fix typos based on the words I have defined and their correct replacements. As I've been building the wordlist, I've realized that what I'm actually building is a Hive Dictionary for ASR transcripts.
This significantly increases the quality of the transcripts, making it possible to generate higher quality data (like summaries) based on them.

Browser hotkeys for Tabs #techtips
Everyone knows that you can open a new tab in your web browser using Ctrl + T. Less known is that Ctrl + W will close the active tab and Ctrl + Tab will cycle through your open tabs. You can even use Ctrl + Shift + Tab to cycle backwards.
With the shortcut Win + Arrow Keys you can tile two windows perfectly or even move the window from Monitor 1 to Monitor 2 without using your mouse! #techtips #windows #keyboardshortcuts
